Agency Description:
The Scranton Primary Health Care Center offers comprehensive primary health care services including physician office visits and diagnostic testing. Physicians of the Center have admitting privileges at Community Medical Center and Moses Taylor Hospital. Our physicians admit and care for those needing hospitalization. Health care providers at the Center include physicians of internal medicine, pediatrics and gynecology. A midwife and a nurse practitioner conduct a prenatal clinic. Obstetricians at Physician Health Alliance deliver our babies at Moses Taylor Hospital. The Center is often the point of entry into the healthcare system for those in financial need who may be unemplyed or uninsured. Scranton Primary Health Care Center accept Access Plus, Medicare, First Priority Health, Unison, AmeriHealth Mercy, Aetna/USHealthcare, Blue Shield and other health insurances. Our Center also offers a sliding fee scale to qualified clients. The Center has a dental service called The Ed Dulworth Dental Center, located on the second floor of our building. The dental phonenumber is 504-0082. It accepts clients for general dental care. The Acces Plus, Unison, Gateway, AmeriHealth Mercy, Aetna, Blue Sheild, Cigna, Guardian, Delta Dental, United Concordia and other insurances.
THE FRANCES HAZUCHA, PN, MEMORIAL PROGRAM - This is an outreach services for the homeless and patrons of the St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen.
UNITED WAY UNEMPLOYMENT PROGRAM - The United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne County provide funding to offset the cost of a medical visit for persons who are unemployed.
